Welcome to the Batten University Student Composting Initiative! We’re thrilled to have you among the first students participating in a program designed to make sustainability a part of everyday campus life.
Each day, compostable materials like fruit peels, coffee grounds, leftovers, and paper napkins are thrown away. Through this initiative, those materials are no longer viewed as waste — they become a resource that can enrich local soils, support regional agriculture, and strengthen our community. By choosing to compost, you’re helping demonstrate that meaningful change begins with everyday choices.
